Division of Masters is a band that plays aggressive, guitar-driven instrumental music. Led by bassist and composer Max Johnk, the band explore fluid modal jazz, the unconventional structures of experimental rock, and moments of freely improvised noise. Their debut recording, Laid Across Your Path, was released in 2021.
